Billy “Bill” Bolton, 76 of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020, in a

local health care facility.

Bill was born in Marion Co., TN but spent most of his life in the Chattanooga area. He graduated from Kirkman High School and then joined the U.S. Army. Bill proudly served his country in Vietnam and continued to service for the U.S. Army for six years in

personnel management. After serving active military duty, Bill worked for the Veterans Administration continuing to support our veterans. He loved to go to the Casino and play poker, he never met a stranger. Bill even made friends while eating popcorn at Target. He was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 203 and always strived to help our country’s veterans in any way he could.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Bolton and Rosy King; sister, Agnes

Marie Hobbs; brother, John A. Bolton; and great granddaughter, Wilder Triplett.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Mary Bolton; daughter, Christie (Tim) Dean;

sons, Heath Bolton and Brian (Niki) Bolton; grandchildren: Blair Triplett, Jacob Higgins, Macy Higgins, Paisley Bolton, Brodie Bolton, Stella-Kate Bolton, Colton Clark, and Whitney McDowell; great grandchildren: Brior Triplett and Arrow Triplett; brother, George Bolton; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020 at 4 p.m. in the South Crest chapel. Interment will be held on Thursday, Dec. 17, at 11 a.m. in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
