Mini Review: Nestled between Central Park and Riverside Park, this boutique hotel is located just a short walk from shopping and lots of small restaurants in the trendy Upper West Side. It's also close to the Metro and numerous major attractions including the Museum of Natural History and Central Park. Like most older buildings in NYC, the rooms are smallish, but they are clean and updated. If you don't mind a smaller rooms compared to the larger hotels, the Belnord certainly provides great value for such a prime location. Because good budget hotels are rare in this area, it is imperative to book well in advance.

You will be hard pressed to find better value in such an ideal location.

This hotel has subway access just one block away. It is also close to several Brooklyn attractions including Prospect Park, The Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Brooklyn Museum and the Brooklyn Bridge. Mini Review: If you can't find room in the Ramada Inn above, the Best Western Plaza - Long Island City is also a great bet with equally good access to the subway for trips into Manhattan. It is only a 3 minute walk from 21st Street Station where the F train will whisk you across the East River into Manhattan in a matter of minutes. They offer airport shuttle service, air conditioned rooms, free wifi, and a good free breakfast to start your day — everything you need for a good nights rest before exploring the city.

Mini Review: It's a Motel 6 so you know it isn't going to be fancy, but if you want good value and don't mind the industrial area next to the tracks this is a good choice. It's a newer property and seems to be well managed with clean rooms and good service. After a short 10 minute walk to Hunter's Point station on line 7, you are only a 10 minute subway ride to Grand Central Station or 12 minutes to Times Square. If good location and basic clean accommodations are all you need this one checks all the boxes.
